This June, I am excited to be participating in the Enfield Community Art Exhibition, beautifully themed around the concept of HOME. The show is taking place on weekends from 7th to 29th June, at Arbeit Studios in Palmers Green, and it means so much to me to be showing work in the heart of the community I am now part of.

So, what does home mean to me?
I moved out of my family home in Poland when I was 19. Since then, I have lived in London for nearly a decade - I graduated from university here, started my career, and recently became a British citizen. But still, I often find myself asking: Is London my home?
I have also lived in Japan for a year, and I dream of going back, but even then, would it truly feel like home?
Through all of this questioning, one thing became clear to me: Home isn’t necessarily a place. It’s a feeling.
It’s that quiet moment of peace when the sunlight hits your skin. It’s the comfort of losing yourself in a good book. It’s the joy and vulnerability of creating art. It’s the small, soft spaces in life where you feel safe to just be.
That’s what my work in this exhibition is about. Not bricks or borders, but the internal compass we all carry - the one that points to the things and moments that make us feel grounded, seen, and at ease.
