A4 size, 350gsm

This is my interpretation of a Japanese woodblock print from ‘One Hundred Aspects of the Moon’ by Yoshitoshi Tsukioka.

Bathed in the pale glow of the moon, a woman stands alone, unrolling a long scroll of letters. Her messy hair and vacant expression hint at a deep sorrow, her mind unravelling with each line she reads. The scene depicts a moment of emotional collapse - a haunting portrayal of madness born from longing and loss.

The moon, a symbol of beauty and melancholy throughout the series, watches silently above, mirroring her fragile state.
