My FIRST Art Market - A Dream in the Making

On 17th May 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to take part in my very first art market on Portobello Road in London, organised by the wonderful girlies at Open Art Spaces. It was a huge step for me as an artist - one I will never forget.

The set-up was a bit hectic, but once everything was in place, I looked around and saw a beautiful display I was genuinely proud of. I wouldn’t have made it through the day without the support of my amazing market neighbours: @gigilatelier, @parm.prints, and @saahiedraws. Their encouragement and good energy made the experience all the more special.

Seeing my work - printed, painted and presented - all around me felt surreal. It’s one thing to create art quietly in your own space, but something else entirely to put it out into the world and watch people connect with it. I had so many lovely conversations throughout the day. A lot of people stopped by, complimented my work, told me I was doing a great job and wished me well on my creative journey. That kind of genuine interest and encouragement really warmed my heart!

To top it all off, my gorgeous friends came to visit me during the day - and honestly, their support meant the absolute world! Seeing their smiling faces and feeling their love in person made everything feel even more magical. I appreciate them more than ever and somehow love them even more now (which I didn’t think was possible!).

I loved every single minute of it!

This experience reminded me just how far I’ve come - and how important it is to keep going, to keep pushing, to keep showing up for my dreams. I’m proud of myself for not giving up, even when things got REALLY tough. This art market was more than just a day of selling prints - for me, it was a celebration of growth, courage and community.
